4 Tips For Cleaning Your Upholstery

Since spring is on the horizon, why not consider a deep clean for your home and get the dirt and grime out of your upholstery. Tip #1: Start with vacuuming

Your furniture may have collected a good deal of dirt and debris over the years. This could even be worse if you have a pet that lives in your home. The first thing you will want to do is to vacuum your furniture to lift all of this dirt from your furniture for the best start for your cleaning efforts.

Tip #2: Know the stains

Before starting to clean your upholstery, it's a good idea to identify what the stain is. Different types of stains will require various treatment methods.

For instance, if you have a wine or coffee stain, this may can be removed by steam cleaning your upholstery. This treatment is also ideal for removing stubborn dirt spots.

Tip #4: Let it dry

You may be tempted to sit or lie down on your furniture once it looks inviting and clean. However, this is not a good idea. You should at least wait a day before you begin using your furniture once you have gone to the trouble of cleaning it.
