Different Ways A Power Washer Can Help Around The Outside Of Your Home

Posted on

Many people own a power washer and don't even get the full use out of it that they could get, simply because they don't have a full understanding as to all the different things it could be used for. If you own a power washer or you are thinking about buying one, then you want to make sure you have a good understanding of some of the many great uses you can find for them just around your home alone.

Window and home exterior washing

You can use your power washer to wash your windows. You will want to take a look at the windows first and make sure the weather stripping is in good condition. This step is taken so you won't have to worry about the water coming inside the house. You also want to hold the wand at a 45-degree angle. The power washer can also be used to wash the home's exterior, but while vinyl and brick homes can be washed with little care paid, you do want to be careful washing painted home exteriors so you don't cause the paint to chip off.

Gutter cleaning

You can use a power washer to clean the gutters around your home. Not only does this include the rain gutters that go along the roof to carry rainwater from the roof and away from the house, but it also includes the gutters in front of your yard that keep water from going from the street up into your yard.

Grill and patio furniture cleaning

Another way you can use the power washer around your yard is by using it to clean things like your barbecue grill and your patio furniture. Using a power washer makes it a lot easier to clean these things because you won't have to do the intense amount of scrubbing you would have to otherwise.

Swimming pool tile cleaning

If you don't stay on top of the tile around the top of your swimming pool, then it can get some serious calcium deposits that can be hard to remove. You can avoid this by simply using your power washer to wash the tile around the pool as soon as you start to notice the tiles looking a little dull or like they have some white scum starting to develop on their surfaces.

Outdoor equipment

You can use a power washer to clean other outdoor equipment, such as your lawnmower, children's play equipment, tractors, bobcats, or anything else that sits outside and gets dirty or that gets used in the dirt, which makes it extremely filthy.
